7th heaven posts = none

I'm looking at the 7th heaven forum and.. we get TONS of posts there, mostly on the GAMES threads.. so now I'm wondering what we should do about it?

I'm thinking the following:

Plan A:

We create a new seperate forums for JUST games and move all those game types of threads into there and don't count the posts for them... and keep 7th heaven for general off topics...

Plan B:

We can just keep everything the way it is in the 7th heaven forum, but we disallow the post count in there...

Plan c:

you guys make 1 up...


I think the reason for this issue is due to the lack of posts in other forums, like RP, RPG, KH, FF, etc....

So what do you guys think? ANy suggestions and feedback is appareictaed.

Well, A guy like me. Doesnt no anything about KH,FF,RP,RPG...I dont know how 2 conversate about any of those, thats why i let this forum called "Blootix". And alot of people are gonna leave TRUST ME, because of the 7th Heavin idea your coming up with. Not A good idea, I get where your coming from though. Alot of spam..etc..etc...But like I said alot of people dont know about that kinda stuff and will look stupid trying too talk about something they dont know about.

I don't think we should change anything because even if they are posting in the games section the most, they are still being active.

newsflash!... I check daily and I'll see mabye 90% posts every day are in the the 7th heaven forum...

I'd like to see people post in kh, ff, ps2/ps3, xbox/360, wii etc...

I haven't seen much gaming talk going on lately... mabye we need to start off with some more popular games?

I think that would help.... we should have a poll on what peoples favorite games are now-a-days...

well, the reason the KH forum is slow is because there isn't much to talk about...once a game is announced or wen it comes out, i think ppl will start postin in there more.....and isn't FF XIII in progress? Once it comes out FF will also be jam packed...if you want to get rid of the post counts, that may interfere with those who have VIP...most of the VIPers have majority of their posts in 7th heaven...if you were to disable the post count from now on, that would be ok though. However, like Tsu said, they're still being active...

why should the be VIP if they don't post about games. This is Gamerz-Place, not "Spam City", so the gaming forums should be the most active. I say get rid of all post count made there.

My plans for Vip are that over 50% of the VIP members now will NO LONGER be VIPS.

With the new system.. people will need more posts, reputation level and be register for a VERY long period of time...

As for the games.. there are ps2/xbox forums.. no one seems to post in them.. you do you people can post in there about other games.. but we haven't seen that happening..

Too many posts are going on in the 7th heaven. It's fine and normal, but whats the point then? WHy should we have RPG, RP, Gaming forums?

We are not looking for a certain vote here GM we are proposing an idea to the members. In my personal opinion ( and trust me cuase i know a lot of my posts came from 7th heaven when i was trying to get a higher position in staff by getting a higher post count) I think we should make posts in 7th heaven = none. Becuase first of all also in my opinion we have too many people at vip status, second of all becuase yes this is a gaming forum and third becuase people really should try and post more on the other forums.

And i am not quite sure how you can't know how to talk about a game you like... or how to post something you just wrote randomly in the writting section, or tell other people what you think of their graphics stuff, or join a FC about a certain thing you like....I could go on about how i don't understand. I mean most of those things are there for people to just post how they feel about that certain game, or how they feel about that piece of art work, generally it is your opinion.

And if people really don't know how to post in the current areas of the forum, then maybe someone has a couple suggestions on things you know how to post on besides mindless forum games and such?

BTW i don't think a forums games section would be a bad idea, i mean there are so many random forum games that tend to overtake the other random posts in 7th heaven. So in the end i believe we should: set forum games up in their own subsection of 7th heaven, make the posts in 7th heaven count as nothing, and get some suggestions on what kind of forums people would be interesting in posting in.

Well I somewhat agree with you on that yoh. I think if we make a games forum and a 7th heaven.. then 7th heaven mabye should count. Because the reason why the 7th heaven is packed and all spamy is because of the games.. I think the games forum shouldn't count but the 7th heaven should, or atleast at this time, because people do post "general non game related" topics in there which sometimes can be of use, like new articales or something funny etc..

I just feel the "games" part of the 7th heaven has been very spamy latetly.. so unless people can post in other parts of the forums.. we might just have to seperate games and offtopic posts.

most of us play the games RIGHT (with added conversation), but there are some people who just cheap post it

I agree with you fully Nitz. Games = not count/7th heaven = count. I guess i was just kind of saying 7th heaven meaning all the games cuase i don't normally see off topic things becuase people spam the games and then whatever you posted like 10 minutes ago could wind up on the last page becuase people are playing the games.

I think that will work. But thats just my opinion. It's all up to the members, after all it is their forum.

the problem is there are WAY to many VIP members and why? because everyone posts in the 7th heaven and goes HEY! im gonna get VIP in a matter of days, but with the new board getting VIP will be VERY tough... however being a donator instead of a VIP will have more benifits

Yea i know... it's kind of gotten to a point where you only really stand out if your a normal member. Yes i agree there are way too many VIP people... though i doubt they would agree to that. VIP should be a thing that you have to work a little while for. Not just something where you say" ok im gonna get all these posts in a few days and be VIP. Your right man.

VIP is about sitting on your computer going" DAMMIT I WISH I WAS A VIP!!" lol but seriously thats the only thing that kept me trying to become VIP on other forums, was becuase of the fact that there were not a lot of people who were VIP and i wanted to be one of those select few.

VIP = people who SHOULD be dedicated to the forum, and not the type of people who ocme for a few days and leave, but more of those types of people where they stick around no matter what!

Maybe games should only count for like half posts.... you know... 2 posts = 1... Every other post in the games section gives you 1 post.... then it would take 1000 posts to reach just 500.. it will encourage people to post in the other threads where they would get 1 post = 1 post but still give them posts for posting in the games section...
