Battlefield 2142 includes spyware!

It's unclear what the spyware does exactly, but it's believed to collect anonymous information like your IP address, collect information on your surfing habits, and use collected information to display in-game ads.

Hopefully someone will create some kind of crack to stop the spyware so no one has to deal with it. I recommend that no one should play the game until/if that happens. I personally wouldn't want the spyware on my computer, not that I'd be playing it anyway cause my crap computer probably can't handle it!

haha, mine does too :/ I could run it, but even with all gfx options set to low it wouldnt have that console smooth feel.

wow.. haven't seen this happen in games in a long time.. heck if someone sold me spyware I'd be pissed too...

Then again these days everyone wants to have some kinda of spy ware on our systems. I consider a xbox update usually a way to check modded xbox's... kinda a spyware thing in some ways since they are spying on you...
