Blizzard's VP of game design confirmed in an interview with MSNBC that Starcraft 2 will NOT be released in 2007!

When asked 'what is your timeline for release for StarCraft II?', Rob Pardo replied

The only thing I can give you [that?s] concrete is it?s not going to be this year. Some people were hoping, because of how advanced the game looks, that we?d have it out by Christmas, but that?s definitely not happening.

If that isn't a tease...

There are so many people that are crazy about this game. I would be surprised if many attempted immitations of it (like the Command & Conquer Mod) didn't start popping up on the internet. Hooray for piracy?..

I guess there are a lot of anonymous people on this site - and im sure everyone wants to know when the game is being released. Either that or some search engine indexed this post. :dumb:

Ah, my mistake. It seems there are quite a few of us just trying to get our post count up.

Seems that the BlizzCon tickets to get a beta test pass are already sold out. That was fast.
