Computer kind of broke, I think

Well, I noticed that my computer's power supply fan had been quite a bit louder than usual, so I decided to blow it out with some compressed air. I had it on my lap while it was booting up, to check to see if it had made any difference when, as I was about to turn it off again, I noticed a flash of light near the back of the computer and then the  computer itself shut down.

Now, it won't turn on at all. I know I'm going to have to replace the power supply, but I'm wondering if there's any chance that some of the other components of my computer were damaged when the power supply went out.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. If you were wondering, I'm posting from my PS3.

Yeah, there's a chance that it shorted something else out when it failed. I'm not sure how you could figure out for sure if that's the case without first replacing the PSU. There is still a chance that everything else is okay, though.

My laptop just died out today, so you're not the only one with a non-working computer. :(
