Crossover a memory
Massive brick wall, so blank and empty.
On your surface I will spray paint a memory,
Inside that’s worth remembering,
When my friends and I would meet up here in the summer we’d shoot hoops, team up with waterguns and buckets then laugh when people complained of the ruckus
I smile
when I think of all the mischief we’ve made in this place where the
Great
blue sky
is tinted jade and when we’d walk down the sidewalk.
and tilt our heads west we’d stand completely still as everyone watched the sun-
set.
as I look off to my side toward my childhood kingdom
I watch it die, it’s luster, eroded by time.
I’m taken back to reality where your actions enormity
Decides conformity.
Only the fearless can crossover that stormy sea.
people marvel when my heart’s etched out on a massive wall
this place reminds me of good times,
to remember them all.
snow falling down upon us
wrapped up in our jackets and gloves
in rare icy cold air we met up
here. We,
slid on the iced ground and built snowmen.
snow falling like stardust on the surface
And even though our art was far from perfect
red ears
and numb hands
at the end of the day-
felt worth it..
Man! What a scene! I hope that this memory gleams
on this mural.
And beams to the stars as a constellation,
Forever eternal.
people pointing at the picture of our childhood kingdom
they tell us it’s the mural, that renewed its luster
they’re inspired by our actions enormity
to conform to the fearless who can crossover that stormy sea.
