Why is this place so dead? Let's breathe some life back here. Who do you think "won" E3? By which I mean who had your favorite showing. List stand out games, and dissapointments, and anything else you want to.
I think for me, Sony won because they had alot of games that im looking forward too unfortunatley, alot of them are coming out much later.
Standout games:
Call of Duty 4, Burnout Paradise, MGS4, Assasins Creed, Silent Hill Origins, Mercenaries 2, Infamous, GTAIV, Killzone 2.
Dissapointments: PSP redesign is a minimal upgrade, but at least its the same price; Microsoft press con was horrible, it didnt show anything new, the Rock Band performance was pretty bad, and the "halo edition" Xbox 360 was so bad that Peter Moore was left scratching his head as to why no one applauded; Most good Ps3 games are next year; not much new info on MGS4, but I guess that'll be saved for MGS 20th aniversary; No news on PSP/PS3 firmware updates; Sony pulls another dumb one and announces it is discontinuing 60GB PS3 support shortly after said console recieves a 100$ price drop. They say they have enough 60Gigs to last months however, and hopefully once they supplies are dried up, they'll drop the 80gig down to 500$ as well, after seeing how well this one sold (sales have doubled)
I have to say the Killzone 2 trailer was impressive. The gameplay is yet to be seen but the graphics are stunning. The one thing the MS Press Con did right was get me interested in Halo. Now I hate the series. REALLY hate it. The single player is horrible. However, some of what I saw and heard about concerning Halo 3 looks to be a bit different, and now I might give it a try.
Also, Peter Moore left Microsoft and is now heading up EA Sports.
What are your thoughts on this year's E3?
