Halo 3 Serves One Billionth Game

US, March 2, 2009 - Bungie has announced that over one billion games of Halo 3 have now been played. The one billionth match was played at 6:36 PM PST last Saturday and lasted three minutes and 19 seconds. It was a four player match of the Infection game mode. Bungie noted that Halo 2 has not yet reached this milestone. That game sits at 798 million matches.
The total matchmaking playtime to date, not including custom or offline matches, sits at 2,023,153,340,764 seconds, or over 64,000 years. That is a long time.
