Michael Jackson has died at age 50 after being rushed to UCLA Medical Center, NBC News has confirmed.

Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Steve Ruda told the L.A. Times that Jackson was not breathing when paramedics arrived at his home and CPR was performed.

TMZ.com reported that he may have suffered cardiac arrest.

Yeah, I heard about this. But my main question is Why does no one react like this when Issac Hayes, Bernie Mac, Farrah Fawcett, and David Carridine died? Cause right now everything I see says "RIP Micheal Jackson", even from people who don't like his music.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I jus got home and found out.. it's all over tv practically every single channel confirms he is dead.

His lawyers said he thinks it was drug/medicine related and he is gonna sue by himself!!!

I agree with E.V. on this one. Farrah Fawcett died today, but you don't see much news on her. I saw one little 4 sentance article. But Michael died 8 hours ago and CBS already has a special going out for him. Yes, I understand the man was very famous, but come on, he was no god.

This morning on Aion...there were people with about 600 variations of Michael Jackson's name. And Now Blizzard, is planning in the new 3.2.0 patch, to make an NPC named Jack Michaelson...

I think it's because he was huge... he had a crazy album and he went through court cases and what not...

I don't think I liked him as a person.. at least not later on in his life, but I liked him for the music.

He had some uniqueness to him and I think that's why he was/is big.

That's bad. I did see that Farrah Fawcett had died as well but I only heard of her name I didn't really know much about her. It's also like the whole Heath Ledger thing as well btw. Everyone blew up about his death and his role in the Dark Knight but there was hardly any news about Isaac Hayes or Bernie Mac. Who were both in a movie that came out a little while ago. (I forget the title)

Micheal was no god, true. But is (that's right, IS) the biggest influence on pop culture. Not only to America, but the entire world, if any foreign country didn't know anything about America they knew who Miceal Jackson was. He was created by the biggest names of ol' school soul and RnB; James Brown, Quincy Jones ect. And he shaped his own style and paved the way for many performers today Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, Omarion even his sister Janet. Micke is legendary and he will be missed.

I don't think he was the "King of Pop" for a while he was pop.

Well regardless of what he was... he played some kind of role and that's what matter at the end of the day.

Alot of people are saying he deserved it because of how he acted, or because he was a pedo. But when he was accused of that, look at how many people stood by him. Another thing you have to think of, is he ****ed up because of what his dad did to him when he was little? He's dad was a complete douchebag..
