Due to some problems, there is now a new reputation rule.
You must provide a valid reason when giving out/taking away reputation. If you do not provide a decent reason, your given/taken reputation will be cancelled and the affected poster's rep will be restored to normal.
In addition, admin reputation power will be lowered to normal. We won't have any more reputation power than anyone else.
If you think something is wrong with your reputation, let me know.

That sounds a lot more reasonable, especially for the fact that now the board just can't turn on someone and kill off their reputation.

I was just talking to betterdayz a couple days ago about this, someone keeps zapping all his reputation away for no apparent reason.

Slight rule change...

From now on, you only have to give a reason if you're TAKING rep. If you don't, then the person will get his/her rep back.

You don't have to give a reason when GIVING rep. It's still recommended though. But if you can't think of a reason, then don't worry.

Just a minor change. You must give a reason for adding to someone's rep if the post does not make the reason obvious. For taking rep away, you still have to provide a reason no matter what.
