IGN: With little info to go on, parallels have been drawn between this character and Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden. What sets Ken apart?
Takeuchi :The Ryu Hayabusa character is an extremely compelling one, but somewhat lacking in reality, I would think. You'd never expect to meet someone like him. Ken, however, is very real in his feeling. He's someone you could run into on the street. In addition, the martial arts techniques he uses are based on actual moves (although, they are exaggerated, of course). Ryu seems, in addition, to be a wholly ninja creation.
Ken, on the other hand, is still immature by comparison. He has the same anxieties that modern people have. He'll grow together with the player, and his techniques will improve. It's that sense of reality that is the biggest difference, I think
