off topic.....forum issues

I hate to say it... alatly the forums have been going OFF GAMING TOPIC..... So I think we need to get more into game discussions... less news....less off topic threads.. I also want to get a Inferno RPG system up... but I will need someone to run it all and make characters/weapons/potions etc.....

well, i have a few ideas about this.

-bigger gaming section. we only have one "gaming discussion" forum, i dont think thats enough. maybe if we make an entire section dedicated to gaming, and split it up into various categories(by gaming console, gaming genre, etc.), thatll help expand the gaming stuff.
-sections dedicated to other things. a whole section for music, movies, books, etc.
-another section for your RPG idea, which is most likely gonna happen anyway.

basically, just expand the whole gaming section. but expand the rest a little more too. we dont want gaming to completely dominate. dominate, yes. just not completely.

and also, id be happy to run the RPGs if youd like.

Though it would be nice to have more activity on the gaming section, posting less on other sections isn't going to fix that. :weird: Non-gaming related posts & topics are better than nothing.

I didn't say that at all. Your ideas are fine.
But we really don't have much of a problem here. After all, the gaming section is the number one section under entertainment. Though it wont hurt to make some adjustments.

How are less topics on the other sections of the forum (lounge, break loose, general entertainment) going to help anything at all? We don't need less of anything... it's just that more gaming topics would be nice.
This is a forum for mostly gamers, but it's not a forum for only gamers. We're not going to start banning people because they're posting non-gaming topics.

People post in the gaming boards, not very often, but they do. Once we get more people, there will be a lot more activity, trust me.</span>

Yeah, I agree. When we get more members, the whole board will be more active. We just have to be patient about it and try to invite more people.

yeah, maybe we shouldnt focus on getting more posts in the gaming forums, but getting people to post in those forums.

well latly... activty has DROPPED.... we need to post more in gaming forums... or make more gaming related threads... everyone just posts in the lounge and that's it... To me this place seems like a chit chat baord... rather than a normal gaming forum... where a lot of game discussions go on as well as.... "some" off topic stuff....

not really... someone else started at the same time as us... he has 400 members of which 180 are active.... he has a RPG system going... he has arcades etc.... we got nothing here right now... nor anyone that has knowledge/time to run them....

Hey..i've been getting Gaming.Word. people here..and a few friends from Spread Firefox and the Long Live techtv group.

And Gaming.Word. Had an arcade section from a few web games..Get them their own forums like and arcade section..even maybe a podcast up..But I could host the podcast on my server..

Or skip the podcast Idea.
