Official 3.0 Updates & Announcements Thread

At long last, after months of waiting, we finally have RPG Inferno 3.0! Unfortunately, we still have to build it up, which means more waiting, but believe me it'll be worth every nanosecond and then some!

Any updates and announcements regarding the RPG will be posted here. Also, any questions posted here (ONLY here please) or PMd to me (I can't answer emails as my comp can't connect to my network) will be answered here.

Completed: Attribute and Skill points, Starting Money
To be done: Places, Quests, Stores, Items, Spells, Monsters, Sleights, Enchantments, Books, Triple Triad, graphics . . . basically everything, really

umm what's the theme? is it like medival like orcs/humans? or SC style like aliens or FF? Mabye we should see what members want...

We could easily make seperate factions and even species with the starting map and NPC images.

It can always be Sci Fi type stuff like the PS gen of FF, weapons can always be a vast selection, which allows for customization. So if things are done right, it could be pretty great. Hows the Battle system function though? Turn based or Beat-em up style like action/adventures?

From what I seen in the demo.....it's a form of turn based.

I was thinking maybe a general game theme with different places based on different games, but it would be up to you to decide which games would appear. I agree though a vote is in order.

I almost forgot as well, everyone who helped get the new Inferno will get something special in it when it comes online, as a thank-you present. Now don't say we're lazy, nasty n00bs

We could do a Gamerz-Place Forums theme - actually that sounds like a great idea! Buying new browsers, routers and net plans to battle the Hydra-like n00bs who threaten to spam, travelling to different forums on GP, and best of all, sparring matches with and finding items belonging to GP's best of the best!

(I am not joking - newbies might find it a bit wierd, but it could work really well done properly)

Description of catagories:
Burn: Burn-style attacks do a large amount of damage over a short time and eventually stop doing damage. Offensive.
Damage: Damage-style attacks are your general combat spells. Offensive.
Healing: Heals the caster and the caster only. Supplementary.
Poison: Poison-style spells do small amounts of damage constantly until the battle is over or they are nullified by a spell or potion. Offensive.

Well the themes I can think of are many.. and it's tough because were a "general" gaming forum and we don't concentrate on just ONE game.. like many forums out there.

Some examples I can think of:

Starcraft theme - Protoss/Terran/Zerg

Waracraft - Orcs/Humans/Elves/Dwarves/Zombie/Undead

Diablo - Demons/Sorcers/Wizards

FF/KH theme - Keybladers

Mario style- have a way were you have to beat certain area's.. not sure...

anyways some I have thought of...

Perhaps each piece of land could resemble one of these mentioned themes. Make it Multi-themed.......However if we are to just go with one main theme. I choose KH or Diablo.

yeah they are.. they know you want to max all levels and stats and OWNZ all members

The way I see it.. seems like KH is the way to go..
