Remakes?

What are the names of the ps1 remakes, I've never played and want to...are they better than the original?

The remake of RE1 was made for Gamecube and it looks much better than it's original with plenty of detail. RE1 was also remade for the DS as RE: Deadly Silence. (Why the hell is Nintendo getting rehash material? Sucks for them) Aside from RE1, I don't think RE2 and 3 were remade. They were just ported to other systems without any changes.

Capcom is almost done with Resident 4 Remake. I'm not going to miss out on playing the game as soon as possible. I love all the Resident Evil games and RE 4 have always been my favourite.
