I dunno if they will win though.. RIAA will have some kick ass lawyers. The way I see it.. if your in USA... your screwed.. move to place like Canada/Asia etc.. because laws are less strict there..

I'm not directing this at you FOX, but it kinda sucks when americans talk about it.. I mean, hey! your living in USA and RIAA is in the states.. so if people have issues.. MOVE LOL! it's simple as that.. otherwise why talk about RIAA?

<div class='quotetop'>(Zayne.H;20965)</div><div class='quotemain'>I hope they lose and learn not to sue everyone in the world. Unfortunately they won't learn their lesson.</div>
I never seen them sue anyone else besides the states? how could they sue anyone in the world? Especially places like China and Russia, where there is no such thing as copyrights or trademarks.

It's not so simple to just suddenly move to another country. Each country has a different set of problems... though some problems are worse than others. If you move away to a different country every time something bothers you, then where are you going to live? Besides, just about all of my family lives here in the USA.

And Canada has the CRIA, but the government hasn't given them as much power... but they're trying to be just like the RIAA. And the organizations can cooperate in some cases. Other countries have similar organizations too.

not all, but I don't get what the point of complaning does? RIAA is here to stay and may also be here for the future..

I don't think the cases against RIAA will win. I mean.. it's RIAA and napster was shutdown.. so I'm surprised we still have services? I guess no one is scared to get sued these days...

Well... from what I know, there hasn't been a class-action lawsuit like this against the RIAA yet. The RIAA has a good chance of actually losing this. They don't win everything. Though there's always a chance the RIAA could get away with it... I hope that doesn't happen.

What's the point of complaining? It helps get the word out. And if no one bothered to complain, fight back, or defend themselves... then the RIAA would be suing even more people than they already do. They'd pretty much be able to do anything.
And it's just something to talk about. Most people like to hear about things that go against the RIAA.

I'm not sure what you were trying to say...

We have them because they aren't focused solely on music like Napster was. Also, they can be used to share files legally. ALSO, I think the RIAA has realized that attacking the file-sharing network or the company that owns it directly just doesn't work. New networks and programs will just pop up as replacements.

The way I see it, the RIAA is about to become a lot weaker or more powerful as a result of this lawsuit.... depending on the outcome.
