BioWare: For Immediate Release

At first, I seriously thought it was a joke, even now I'm finding it hard to believe its real. Concerning some fans have been crying for a Sonic RPG, its seems like a dream come true. But BioWare? That was unexpected I'd say.

Apparently, it will be for the Nintendo DS and is expected for 2008.

I'd say this will be unlike other Sonic Games, as one, its an RPG, which by itself can be a concern, as trying to transition the action of Sonic's platforming into something more RPG-like is something people can never agree on, usually thinking a Tales series linear battle system is most appropriate. I'm not too worried, knowing BioWare's track record

And second, well, its BioWare! I just think its going to be interesting, as I don't know how they will handle working on the DS.

Well, this makes me wish I had a DS. *sigh*
I guess I'm going to have to add that to my Christmas wishlist.

well when Square made Super Mario RPG, people though it would be a FLOP game.. however it TOPPED out and ranked #1 on all charts. So chances are Sonic will do well too! Too bad, sonic can't be on a Sega made system.. The Saturn and Genesis were some cool systems.

yeah they were... Well I know I'm most likely going to buy this game. Sounds awsome, and since it's made by BioWare it will be. I've always been a fan of the Sonic games, and this would just add to my collection, in a good way.

well the reason why it might be great and sell better is because it's an RPG like FF etc..

sonic.... RPG.... for some reason i just dont see this going to well... but i guess the equation looks like this

Sonic + RPG = bad X Bioware = not so bad..

well i guess i better start saving up for a ds cause i've played almost every sonic game there is, it seems like it could be fun

I'm not a HUGE Sonic fan but I do kinda like the games (cept Sonic Riders, gah that was so annoying -.-) so I think I'll try this game out. Three reasons really:

1) Like Nitz said, Super Mario RPG was thought to be a flop, and look at it now =P

2) BIOWARE!!!!

I NEED A DS lol it's been so long since i played a good sonic game... concidering sonic rush was just flat out annoying.
But Sonic in an RPG how would that go? hmmmm...
Eggman: (Speed 50) attacking
Sonic: (Speed Mach1+) Evades
Shadow: (Speed Mach1+) Shoots a bullet through their heads
And Sonic Riders wasnt THAT Bad... though it was tough i'll say that

I kinda seeing it doing well. Seems like RPG do well, no matter what the content/characters are.

If Mario did well, I have a feeling Sonic will too, especially since many people miss him from Sega.
