I had this idea the other day, and me and some friends een put it in a roleplay. But what if the zerg evolved to where high zerg beings (cerebrates and above, or just cerebrates) could morph into huamns, or humanoid sized beings. I know this may sound dumb but think about it.

Well, Kerrigan and Infested Terrans may be examples of what you mean, but I am not quite sure...

I don't believe that the zerg can evolve new races spontaneously. They must take over a being and from there they evolve it to a more... useful form.

I was more or less just saying that to allow the cerebrates more manuverability. And human like communication.Only they would. but this is more or less just a thought.

Let me show you a little hypothetical scene:

Hey Bob, you don't look so good... You feeling okay?

For the swarm.

Boom!

*marine bits everywhere*

i'd be able to tell...with all those tentacles and growling and acid and saliva...

Well, not all of us can be gifted with your extremely potent powers of observation here, buddy... Psssh, Ghosts and thier occular implants. Think they're better than us, just because the cost more than double the resources we do...

Now I'm going out for some drinks with Bob.

actaully i was talking about morphing into humans, let me put this excerpt from the role play here:

The zerg had a new bag of tricks this time and one of them would prove to be this arrogrant terran commanders end. Araq walked on the base, he looked like a teran traineee with his cameo and beret (the beret was purple and attracted a little attention) "Hey boy looks like you got yer beret bleached. ya dummy. You must be that stupid branch of trainee's" said a marine. Araq made a mental note to painfully kill that guy later. He walked on, he mentally sent out for some of his warriors, the base was small and could be easily taken, but in his human form Araq could only control a very limited amount of his warriors directly

like that

Interesting. Might be fun to get a thread of roleplay going. I'd gladly participate, but there are very few that would.

We would need at least one representative for each race. Also, it could be tough to prevent random posts on the threads so we would need someone to delete undesirable posts.

it is my belief that the swarm will eventually become superior biologically and intellectually to terrans and protoss. the protoss started off much like they are now, except slightly better technology, while the zerg started off as worms and now have a lot more than they started off with

Have you seen what a Hydralisk's Brain looks like? Not very impressive. Now, if they had an Overmind, then they would have enough Brains to spare, but right now the thinking of the entire swarm is basically being done by one woman and a handful of cerebrates.
