All right, here's some information about my amazing laptop... :)

Windows XP Home Edition.
1.3GHz Pentium III mobile processor.
512 MB RAM. It only had 256 when I got it, but I added more.
30GB Hard drive, plus a 40GB external drive I got for Christmas.
CD-ROM drive/writer that can play DVDs.
100MB ZIP drive.
Floppy disk drive (It hasn't been working for a long time... Not that I really need it.)
2 USB ports built in and a 4-port USB hub.

Oh, it has sucky cooling. I think it's for the same reason that the floppy drive doesn't work... but that's another story. When I'm playing a game or running a program that constantly uses processing power, it heats up. A few times it heated up to the point that it shut itself down. :( I couldn't figure out how to setup motherboard monitor, so I'm careful not to leave some programs running.

i got 2 computers. 1 is the shitty one im on right now(my personal one in my room) and the other is the really good one in my parents room that i use for games. i dont know any specs or anything though.

The sticker on the front of the computer says 1GB of DDR RAM, but it's really 896MB. *shrug* It's upgradable to a max of 2GB, and I intend to do that eventually.
200GB hard drive, plus a 120GB external hard drive
DVD burner
9 in 1 memory card reader. (SD/MMC/SM/MS/MS-PROP/xD on the first slot and CF/Microdrive on the second.)
7 USB 2.0 ports; 4 on the back (used by the keyboard, mouse, speakers, and printer) and 3 on the front (one of them is used by my external hard drive.)
2 FireWire ports
Headphone and Mic jacks on the front and back of the computer
nVidia GeForce6100 GPU. (Probably the most powerful integrated GPU ever. Most powerful one I've seen, at least.) I'm upgrading this ASAP.

Runs UT2004 at max settings. Doesn't even hiccup on ONS-Dria or AS-MotherShip with 32 players. Runs HL2 at high settings. Can run pretty much anything at at least medium settings except Blazing Angels, F.E.A.R, Oblivion, and a handful of others.

More FireWire ports? WTF? You DO realize USB 2.0 is faster, right? USB 2.0 has a 480Mb/sec transfer rate. (That's 60MB/sec.) FireWire's is 400Mb/sec (50MB/sec.)

Besides, I don't even use FireWire.

Source? That generic manual that all types external Seagate hard drives come with.

As for the GPU... no, it's not acceptable. Not for more recent games, at least. I estimate I'd have to run Oblivion or F.E.A.R. on minimum settings for it to even run at a decent framerate. Games like Blazing Angels or Quake 4, I could probably run at medium or MAYBE high if the PC didn't have just 7/8 the RAM it was advertised to have. (Which also pissed me off, but that's beside the point.) Still, it's only a $600 PC. One can't honestly expect much from it. I already know which GPU I want to upgrade to. I just hope I won't have to upgrade the power supply as well (which, from what I've seen inside computers, is a nightmare.)

RAM is a nonissue. I just need to get myself two 1GB RAM sticks or whatever they're called. (Not sure if it even supports any 2GB sticks, if it does, I might upgrade to those, depending on price. On that note, what is Cas Latency?
