Tell me about Crackdown

What kind of game is it? Is it like GTA?

It's a mixture of GTA, of a sort. Crackdown has an open environment so it's an open sandbox. You can gain abilities by doing missions and finding orbs scattered around the city. You can steal guns and cars from pedestrians and the gang members, but you're the cop.

And it's really really fun.

Are you a corrupt cop or a good cop? And do you get a penalty for stealing cars or killing pedestrians?

 

[Zayne.H]

You're a good cop, but if you kill around 20 pedestrians at once or in a row, you are deemed rampant and the police turn on you and try to kill you.

For stealing cars, it's "I'm taking your car for the good of the city, have a nice day!"

What happens if you go rampant? How can you continue the story if you stop being a good guy?

 

[Zayne.H]

They just settle down and stop killing you after awhile.

Ah, so it's like your "wanted level" goes away....

I'm going to have to pick this game up sometime.
