The Angel Of My Heaven

The King Of Bandits
A white flash of light swept the midnight sky, disturbing the subtle blue gaze for only a second. That second had been enough to awaken 16 year old Lian Polesca. His vibrant black hair seeming to not take any form as he stood up from his slumber. " Dam" He whispered to himself in a grogy tone" fell asleep again.." His voice trailed off while he stared out the window at the clear nights sky. The night had never been so clear before, it was as if something had taken the clouds from their very resting place in the sky and hidden them as to reveal the skies true beauty. The stars. Lian could feel the lukewarm breeze of the summer night creeping in through his bedroom window. Many nights Lian had found himself staring out this very window, talking to the stars. They were the only thing, it seemed, that he could tell all his secrets.

"Big brother?" A shaped suddenly appeared in Lians bedroom doorway. There stood his younger 13 year old sister, whom he had many nights read to as she went to sleep in her younger years. Lian came back with an almost silent reply" Whats wrong Rena, cant sleep?" Sarah answered with a small smile and a look of horror on her face" I'm Scared "

" Of what? the light?"
Rena looked somewhat shy about her fear"..Yea"
" It's ok Rena, there's nothing wrong with being afraid of something when you dont know what it is. Come here"

Lian pointed out the window towards the distant city." See that city over there? thats where the light came from, it was just a stray spolight or something." Rena looked up at her big brother and hugged him" Big brother ...can i sleep in your bed tonight?" Lian looked back at her and smiled" Sure" Lian sat calmly on the chair next to his bed, telling his little sister about stories from before their parents had split up.

In earlier years, Lian and Rena had been part of a more happier family. It seemed that everyday was a great day. but soon their parents split up. Their father had been the one to cuase it all, and the one that both of them ultimatly got stuck with in the end.Lian had never been to fond of his father, and after what he did to Lian's mother, Lian trusted him even less. Lian often found himself thinking abotu his mother, where she might be, what she was doing. Even though he knew the stars were the only connection he might have with her. He Knew that keeping his little sister safe from any harm that might come to her, would be what his mother wanted. Along with the fact that his sister was the only person in his family who still cared about him. " do you remember that winter you were six years old? you know, the one where we built the snowman together in the woods behind the house." Rena nodded and snuggled into the bed listening to her brother closely now" that was the first year we ever built a snowman together and it was the best snowman i have ever made" He smiled and looked at his little sister, her eye's slowly starting to drift shut as if they had been up for hours together.

" And all the times we went to the park together and played with the other kids." Rena spoke up in a her sweet tone" i remember when we went to the park in the middle of the summer and it was raining" She smiled and looked up at her brother through her slowly shutting eyes" thats was nice Lian, i had a lot of fun that day." With rena's eyes closed now, Lian moved closer to his window which remained opened. The young boy gazed up at the valiant night sky which held many of Lian's secrets. Night was so beautiful in the country.Lian couldn't stand living in the city. He was glad to be in the country now.

An alarm clock buzzed loudly at the edge of Lians bed as he awoke to a bright new day.HE stood up and looked out his window at the buildings all around him, the busy streets two stories down from his Bedroom window." I guess...it was all just a dream" he whispered to himself.
