The World: Twilight

The Game world was simple enough, gamers from all over the world would wake up in reality, start their computers and open up “The World” for a new and unrealistic location. Most of the players come for fun and some come for fame within “The World”.

The young female strolled down the streets where it was crowded with cars, people, stores. She looked around, her school backpack over her right shoulder with her right hand still holding it. She looked around the familiar streets, she took the route home every day after school and what a bore it was.

She tilted her head back and looked up at the sky where the clouds were floating by without a care in the world. All of a sudden, the female figure had bumped onto another person. She looked down from the sky and looked at a male figure which was about her age.

“im sorry” She finally said after a brief moment of silence with a smile and so she kept on walking.

soon after, she had arrived at her home, opening her front door to find the house was empty yet again. She walked into the kitchen and found a small note along with a plate of food. The note read:

Rein, i wont be coming home for a while because of the business trip and meetings. I left you some money in your room and tonight's dinner for you. Take care hunny.

Love, Mom.

ps.
Clean your room hun. i cant even see what the desk looks like anymore.

Rein let out an angry stare and crumbed up the piece of paper, throwing it in the trash can and looking at the food. She let out a sigh and just placed it in the refrigerator, knowing she wasn't going to have anything to eat that night.

She soon walked upstairs into her room with dragging feet. As she entered her room, Rein threw her school bag into the corner, knowing she wont look at it until the weekend ended. She flopped onto her bed and stared at the ceiling.

“unfamiliar ceiling.” She whispered out.

It had been a week since she had moved to the new home. There were still boxes of items which Rein didn't bother to open since she knew they would be moving again. Rein looked towards her computer and saw that her computer screen was blinking.

Slowly and lazily, Rein got up from her soft bed and walked over to the desk, pulling out the chair and flopping down. She heard a large clank and realised she had hit her shin on the desk corner. She gripped her shin and moaned and soon started to use her computer for another day in “The World”

She logged into the world with her own name, since she was too lazy to even come up with another one. Starting at the game, she controlled her character to go around the small towns.

-Within the game-

Rein held her weapon high upon her shoulder, walking through the lower levels of the towns, watching the new comers wonder around, trying to figure out what to do. All of a sudden, Rein had bumped onto another character, another player.

“HEY!” she shouted. “watch where you’re going.” she said arrogantly, looking down at the lower player.

“you bumped into me!” he said back, trying to give her some attitude.

“what?” Rein merely said as she held her blade onto the player’s throat, not saying a word but threatening to kill his character.

He scurried away and Rein just placed her blade onto her shoulder once more, walking around, looking for some of her friends which were around somewhere.
