bcuz da us b stoopid111

No, but eh, my honest guess...

Maybe because the US is one of the largest arms dealers in the world, especially to third-world countries with some pocketchange and a grudge built up.

Possibly not because of that, I guess, but I know we've definitely profited off of selling arms to small countries after the guns were of no use to us anymore, and this treaty looks like it could stop a large source of income.

-waits for onslaught of "conspiracy theory" insults, "u dont no dat u idiot!!", etc-

Yeah, it's very hypocritical. Stopping terrorism is only important if it doesn't interfere with making money. Fortunately, I don't think one vote from the US is enough to stop this.

Well... there are pros and cons... but I feel MOST countries will want to get rid of gunz etc.. or atleast stop international selling, however then more people will smuggle it. The US concentrates on gunz etc.. and does make some money from it, when they have new stuff out, they sell the old stuff to who ever else.

All I can say is, till Bush is in control USA is doomed and will be hit hard each time.... Thank god I don't live there...

doesn't it have to be a unanimous decision?

and yeah, i agree with Chris... my post was deleted for some reason though, probably from that server thingy.

EDIT: and i'm surprised Russia abstained, they get a lot of money from selling arms.

WTF are you serious?! It has to be unanimous? If so, then I wonder how many other UN things our country has messed up... -_-
