Ever heard of a game called Hurt/Heal? If so, you can skip ahead a bit to the last dot point. If not, here are the rules:
- The contest is set up, with contestants registering to participate. Organisers can set either time-based or registrant limits; for this you'll have a week as of the exact time of this post to register, no competitor limits. To register, just post in this thread saying you want to play.
- Once the contest is organised and ready to play, each player is given points (for this contest we'll use 20, but for your own it's up to you).
- All members of the forum (or just contestants/non-contestants if you must) then each get to "hurt" a contestant (take one point away from their total) and then "heal" another (add one point to their total). You also need to include the list of contestants and their points after your changes. You must both hurt and heal, and they must be different contestants. Contestants can also hurt/heal, but cannot hurt/heal themselves.
- Once you have hurt and healed, you must wait a certain number of posts before doing so again (again, this is up to the organiser, for this contest you'll have to wait 2 posts).
- When a contestant runs out of points, they are eliminated from the contest. The last one standing wins.
- I've called this contest "Lightning Hurt/Heal" because I'm gonna use a rule of my own that I like to call the Lightning rule. With this rule, after each hurt/heal, the points given/taken respectively go up by 1. It will continue to rise until a contestant is eliminated, then it will reset back to -1/+1. This rule is gonna be added so we don't have a really long contest (as some hurt/heal's tend to be). You'll also need to include the effect of your hurt/heal (i.e. -x/+x) beside your hurt/heal statements so we don't lose track.
