just wondering.. should this place get a website running too?

if you search google customcms seems like a good website management system for content.

Well, it looks like v3 of that CMS might be made available this month for free. It's not out yet though.

I was thinking of installing mkportal though, actually. Not sure which will turn out to be better.

MK portal doesn't look bad and it seems to integrate with SMF.

The only reason why I like customcms, is because it seems like the best and only gaming CMS out there.

Well, CustomCMS STILL hasn't released that free version, so I think I'll just install mkportal.

how about igamingcms? that looks good if you can modify it a bit.

That looks nice, but mkportal seems to have some nice features it doesn't include.

I haven't used mkportal.. so I'm not sure. I'm using IgamingCMS right now.. seems pretty good.

well, it's giving me the same problem SMF gave me, only 664 or 644 (whatever number it was) won't work this time...

try 755 first.. if not, then try 777.

We could end up with the same problem though, since this is  pretty close to the same problem I had when I was trying to install packages. But I think 644 was the magic number... but it doesn't work for mkportal.... I think this is a host settings issue. Gimpy, any way you could talk to them to find out if they can fix this problem somehow?
