*sigh* Yes, as many of you can see, the forums are different now. Although i can't really see the changes, this idea that was put into action doesn't seem to be a really good one (Someones probably thinking "WELL NO DUH!!!" XD). And really, when we had the staff meeting and this idea was came up with, i guess we had more pro's then cons about the whole idea.

Now (I'm going off topic here), I looked around and saw that a couple of the staff were saying that they weren't included withink the staff meeting for this idea. Well, if you would have looked in the staff forum, you would have saw a staff meeting thread saying when we were going to have the meeting. If you didn't bother to look in the staff forum, well...that's sorta your fault for not knowing about the meeting. And beside's, it's been like what? 2 months since the last the meeting now? I'm just saying, don't complain if you didn't make the effort to keep up with whats going on.
(Whatch, now people are gonna hate me T_T)

Now, back to the topic! As I said before, people don't seem to like this idea, and well it's true that we didn't get the opinion of the members either, and that's really un-fair. I know it's a little too late to do this, but i guess now that you see what's happened to the forums, we'll need you ropinion on what you think of it...
AND PLEASE don't use any fowl language or anything. We...or I know at least that your mad about this. Thats all for now...

EDIT: Yes, i realized we nominated GP as staff, and im sorta surprised i forgot about that. Just shows how good a staff i am T_T

#1.. why is this in the website forums? this has nothing to do with the GP website.. but rather the GP FORUMS!

#2 If staff wasn't there... and as far as I know... only one person was absent, then you can't blame anyone for that. You knew there was a staff meeting, reguardless of you having to miss it or leave at some point...

#3 The idea doesn't mean it's something permanent, however latly MANY members have been doing nothing but viewing the forum and leaving. Now not ALL of you are like that, I seen many of you who come on and do post and participate at GP. I thank you for doing that and not just coming by and leaving for the day.

We also wanted to make use of the group membership area, so we might have to figure out another way for it. But as you can see... almost ALL the staff is soo busy with other issues, it's tough for us to come on and spend time, sometimes which we don't have enough of at times.

ok. here is how it is. We had a great idea, and it is a good idea. WE went about doing it the wrong way probably or something, maybe we should have asked the members first before doing something so drastic as well. Don has a point on one thing though...lately people have been coming and going without even posting. (( and btw... i was the one who nominated gp for a staff position in that very same meeting so like tls said, he wasn't there then.))

Now for the rest of you, all you have to do to see the forums again is join the group for that forum. The reason we did this is becuase a lot of people dont post in certain sections, but post in others, so we decided to make it possible for you to not have to view those threads that you dont post in, and still see the ones you do post in.. We did this to make things convienant for you, The members.

Ok ppl just to let you know.. WE ARE HAVING A NEW STAFF MEETING! SO there will be decisions made and changes made! And please if you are staff and still haven't bothered LOOKING in the staff forum PLEASE DO! We need your time schedule to see how we are all gonna do this..
Members, please give us some input...don't just say.. "Change it back to the way it was! I don't like it!" Well, ok. =/ yeah..we are all apart of GP and we are a team as one so please some ideas and a bit more details would greatly be appreiciated.

Also.. These are forums...people almost act like its the end of the world just because of this new layout. Its not like we cant change it lol! We definatly can. Only 5 staff members have viewed the "NEW STAFF MEETING" thread.. so please more input from you guys.. =/ that means please look. I cant stress this enough... nothing will get done unless everyone tries and participates..we need a group discussion...and if we want these forums to get better...then dont just sit there..

You know, instead of criticizing how people didn't view the Staff Meeting thread, you could just as easily blame yourselves. I mean, you can't spontaneously have random staff meeting every now and then and make people who are busy to show up and see it. What if they were on vacation or are really busy? You should have a SET date and time, such as 3 PM Eastern time on Sundays each week. I am sort of getting annoyed how you blame the staff for not viewing it and what-not. If the admins took the time and rather set up a certain time every so often, it would be far less complicated.

Secondly, the "change it back!" and saying how it's a bad way to act...it's not. If I am not mistaken, the "Admins" changed the forum without every consenting the forum itself. On top of that, you enforce it and say that it is "better" when EVERYONE wants it back.

Im not saying that its bad to say "change it back.." im just saying how much better it would be to get some input...what do the members want besides that.......Im not saying that it's better either SV.

With so many forums to fit on one page, isn't it easier to just use groups to hide unnecessary forums, rather than having to take the whole board offline to re-jig the forums so it's all neat and tidy?

In all honesty, I'm fine with the idea, but we should use it a lot more so it's something people can talk about, boast etc. And maybe we could have a "Group Request" thing where you can request groups for creation and they get their own private sub-forum. That'd totally rock!
