What do you hate about Gamefaqs?

Simple. Just name something (or things) you don't like about Gamefaqs.
I can't stand the purge rate. Things disappear too damn fast on the bigger boards and there's no archive! I go to look for a topic I was reading a few days ago and it's already gone!

i hate that 95% of people that go there are shallow losers that never leave the house, and are total assholes.

No but eh, as for a serious reason? From what I've read about events like " Black LUEsday " or whatever, GameFAQs was a rulenazi communist faction even when it was ran by that guy CeeJ. Now CNet owns Gfaqs, right? Either way, I have never had a gamefaqs account, and never will. The only reason I enjoy the site is for it's strategy guides, and it's been a while since I've played a game that required a strategy guide(haven't touched FF12 since my ps2 died, obviously)so yeah.

I think this topic sums up the problems with GameFAQs pretty well.
I really hate the FAQ thing too. I know sometimes 9250719 people ask the same question, which may be annoying sometimes, but that's what the boards are for... getting help with games!

I totally disagree, GameFAQS has such a clean set up. Its so much better than those ugly pic and color heavy sites you see around. All you see there is what you want and nothing more. Well a few ads but thats it.

The worst thing about GameFAQS? GameSpot. Ever since they merged, the n00b level has skyrocketed, and everytime I look at who made some dumbass post I get treated to "GameFAQS users cannot view GameSpot accounts".

Not that GameFAQS doesnt have a huge share of assholes because it does, but many GS users are just plain stupid

Yeah, the layout isn't so bad. I'm not saying it couldn't be better, though.
I think GameFAQs should allow a profile picture or avatar (but no pictures in sigs) Maybe the profile picture would make more sense cause people wouldn't see it unless clicking on someone's profile.

^ Yeah. I have an avatar and sig here so this may be kinda silly to say, but I pefer the no-pic rule of gamefaqs.
They really need to allow hyperlinks though....

I don't see what's wrong with a small avatar or profile picture. The profile picture wouldn't really slow down the site because you would only see it if you view someone's profile. Almost every message board out there has something like that, so it can't be that ugly. The only real problem I can think of is that the mods would have more work because they'd have to keep an eye on the images to make sure they're not offensive.
