i think it'd be awesome if the terrans had anti-air machine guns/flak cannons instead of missile turrets. with good sound affects they'd be awesome.

and i think the protoss should have a more diversified defence rather than just photon cannons. maybe a bunker of some sorts where stalkers or immortals could latch themselves on?

and it'd be cool for the nydus worms to have an attack of some sort

I do agree that the terrans should have more defence, but not by replacing missle turrets. I would truly like to see an air unit that is actually effective against ground... Or a better looking Siege Tank.

Protoss need some sort of new weapon-of-mass-destruction transport, since scarabs and interceptors are presumably gone. I don't think they need a new defence structure, however. The protoss have always been about having photons for every occasion.

Zerg need more swarming. It was announced that you could now highlight any number of units in one group, The zerg need something to take advantage of this. Zerglings, Hydralisks and... What? I don't know. But I do know that Nydus Worms open up a world of potential. No longer are they canals, but enormus beasts fallen under the dominion of the zerg! Although, the structures were always 'alive'...

:( probably cause im a noob, but i always found sunkens and bunkers a lot better than photons.

oh and another idea just popped into my head. maybe they should get a zerg unit/building that captures terrans and protoss and assmilates them? turns terrans into infested terrans and protoss into hybrids. that'd be awesome

also zerg had the easiet base crawl, because of creep and only hindred by terrain, but as a zerg player i could control my portion rather quickly on the map. I think zerg need a healer, or a recovery option like the necrons in dawn of war. I only say this because of the covenant all the zerg have about their flesh being made anew, oh and yeah terrans should have more bad a** defenses.

Zerg need a healer, eh? How's this for an idea:
For damaged buildings drones could have a new ability called Graft. They litterally merge themselves with a building to instantly restore health to it. It fits with the zerg fasion of sacrificing a drone to create the colony, now it is just to preserve it instead. Might have a minor resource cost attatched to it. In many cases this will be much cheaper than replacing those buildings anyway.

As for healing units... Make burrowing heal much faster.

i remember talking about that blades, we got the idea originally from magic the gathering, a card game, but then evolved it to starcraft.

uv got the wrong idea tho brainwasher, the building doesent so much eat the drone, digesting doesnt heal that much logically, its more of the drone fusing into the flesh and becoming that part that is damaged or blown away. like if u had a big chunk of pladoah and a little chuck, rip a chunk out of the ig one, and the little one can fill in the missing spot.

yeah. im not sure they'd actually show the bullets tho, they might just animate the exit from the barrel and the impact, not to mention it'd be short ranged v.s. air (logically) making it usless v.s. guardians and such.

I think blizzard works hard to add as much detail as possible, but they have to draw the line somewhere. Adding individual bullets would require an enormous amount of processing power and quite possible cause a lot of lag in gameplay. If the weapon funtioned more like an artillery shell, then it would be reasonable to include.

Although, it woud be important to add the graphics of the bullets to show the effect inside the Time Bomb field.

hm. it wouldnt add too much of a strain, a game called ground control had tracer bullets(Which, by the way, is not every single bullet, more like 1 in 100) and it could run on my pentium 2000

so yes? ^.^

i remember there was a part of the trailer showing mutalisks flying through a canyon with sprays of gravel kicking up around them, im not sure if it was because of their wings or because something was firing at them, but wouldnt it be cool if we saw that in gameplay with machineguns firing at them?

It sounds... epic. I don't know, but I think there is only so much that can be done. We can expect amazing things, but some things might be a bit too much. All I'm saying is, don't get your hopes up.

it would be awesome, i never got the whole missles locking on to scourges thing... they are too tiny, and organic units would be able to avoid missles to easily, an AA turret with 55 mm rounds would put those zergy bitches in their places. the turrets could still attack big stuff tho, like guardians and devourers.

Just as the Immortal's sheilds can distinguish between heavy and weak attacks, maybe units can classify as light or heavy air units and be shot down accordingly by the defense attuned to each.

sounds like realism will play a huge role in gameplay, kind of like cnc3 and directional armor.
