To those of you that say UFOs are not real,

Let's be less specific. Think of not just Roswell, but everything related to "Ufology". The following things exist:
- Photographs & videos
- Trace evidence (yes, there are actual cases of UFOs leaving trace evidence behind)
- Countless number of witness testimonies (Many people who report UFOs or claim to have seen them have no motives to fool anyone.)
- Radar logs/reports
- Recordings of conversations between air traffic control and pilots (validates radar readings) Some of these include reports of the same objects being seen from multiple planes.
- Unexplained USAF Project Blue Book sightings & reports (not to mention similar projects by other governments!)
- UFO reports from before the invention of airplanes.

Consider all of that. If this were about some other situation, then all of that evidence would be more than enough to prove something. Hypothetically, if this evidence were related to a criminal's trial, then this could even be enough to put someone behind bars.

I agree with everything here. Plus almost every excuse I've read in UFO sighting cases can vary depending on who you're asking, and that just reeks of a hasty coverup where all the loose ends weren't tied. There was some sighting in Iraq or somewhere in the middle east near an aircraft base, and if my memory serves me correctly there were two separate fighter pilots who had the UFO in pursuit. They said it had a mechanism it used that basically disabled all the electronics in the area, made things go haywire, and then zoomed the fuck out of sight. The story might go a bit differently, but that's the basic idea, and you probably remember what I'm talking about. Anyway, they had interviews with a shitload of people involved, and the story varied with almost each person they asked.

I think the reason we haven't had any massive encounters with a shitload of extra-terrestrial(sp?) beings is because there aren't any close enough for them to take a specific interest. I think any sightings thus far would most likely just be wandering spacecraft traveling the galaxies and stumbling upon a planet with life amidst a shitload without it, so they decide to drop in and take a look, most likely gather some knowledge with whatever advanced technology they have, then head back home.

Of course, that's not what I whole-heartedly believe, I just think it'd explain why we haven't had entire fleets sighted in plain daylight ready for war. Maybe there aren't any close by enough to really want to come here en masse, be it for peace or violence <_<

Yep, Iran, that's it. That's probably one of my favorite UFO sightings that I've read about.

Take a look at this one...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1952_Washingt...C._UFO_incident

The USAF claims it was caused by a temperature inversion, but few people outside the Air Force believe it.

Back to the Tehran incident....

<div class='quotetop'></div><div class='quotemain'>They said it had a mechanism it used that basically disabled all the electronics in the area, made things go haywire, and then zoomed the fuck out of sight.</div>

We are sorta capable of that, so it's possible that the UFO was using some sort of EMP technology. I mean, if we can do it, then visiting aliens almost surely can.

Also, be sure to check the "Stephenville UFO Sightings" topic when you have the chance. Very recent stuff!  8)

Just read that one 1952 Washington sightings wiki, that's probably the best one I've ever read about. I love how it said that when two fighter pilots entered the area on one night, all the ships disappeared, and then came back when the two jets ran out of fuel and had to return to base. I don't know how any nation would have the technology to even have ships like that in the 50s, but the fact that the "beings" in the ships were monitoring radio activity and acting accordingly is fucking stunning. Either Japan had some fucking crazy shit back then(lol) or aliens are speaking english. >_>

Which means it'd be easy for them to disguise as humans and live amongst us, watching us.. :|

Here's another one for you....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_LA

The "Official" explanation is, once again, seeming to be a bunch of BS. You can't tell me the army attacked nothing at all. If they did, then that's quite a damn mistake! The fact that "there was no Congressional investigation" is just unbelievable! Not only that, but the photo clearly shows an object in the spotlights.

Wow, that one is pretty interesting too... The Japanese said they never sent planes over during that time, and after the war was over they'd have little to no reason to lie about something like that. The typical " weather baloon " response is hilarious. That certainly doesn't look like any kind of baloon in the picture.. Regardless of what it looks like, would you need multiple AA guns shooting at a slowmoving object if you thought it was a baloon? There are 3 firing patterns in the picture, so 3 or more guns were firing at this object. It obviously posed some threat that required extensive, or even maximum force <_<

^^Thanks for reminding me about the game Maximum Force! That's the name of it. That and Area 51 were like brothers in the arcade. And this is a UFO topic..interesting.

The fact that Earth-like planets are common just reinforces the possibility that one of them could contain not only life, but intelligent life. If one of them does contain intelligent life, then there's a high chance that they could be visiting us. Just because we can't travel around the stars yet doesn't mean that other races can't. :D
