You know what sucks about difficulty in some games?

Yeah, that sucks too.

Another thing that sucks is when you play a game on beginner, but you still do terrible! I'm talking about three PC games... Freeciv, Call To Power II, and Master of Orion II.
On Freeciv, I have about 4 cities, while all the other empires have about 10!
On Call To Power II, the enemies always have huge armies! When I have three warriors, the enemy has 6 warriors and 4 archers! I can't figure out how they build such a huge army so early on in the game, besides cheating!
Civilization II on Playstation isn't anything like either of those... the first difficulty level is very easy. The second one is just right. The other few difficulty levels (3-4 others, I think) are insane. But still, easy is easy just like it should be.

When I play Master of Orion II, the other races always have amazing ships! Maybe I'm just not good at designing ships...

Contra is probably the hardest game ever.

Closely following it is Machine Hunter for PS1. Even on Very Easy, it took me 8 months to beat it. And the difficulty goes all the way up to impossible. :eyepop:
