IMO its a fantastic game and about every year i get a craving to come back and play it, i just finished it recently and it hit the spot very nicely, I'm intrested to see what this new Zelda is like too (trying not to get off topic)
Yeah I know what you mean, I finish it about twice a year just for the fix, I finished the Nintendo 64 version 2 weeks ago, and now i'm playing the gamecube version, With a few minor resistrictions to see if one of the secrets worked...
The whole game is fantastic everytime i get those craving's for i regret that i sold my gamecube. Man thats a bummer, but Zelda wasn't enough for me to keep it.
I'm happy with that deal they brought out with the Wind Waker where you get the Ocarina of Time CD with it, mega bonus. I actually beat that Zelda before i put on WW XD
I play it on my gamecube, the controls maybe **** but it's worth it for the enhanced graphics and faster game play. but the N64 version was awsome to but to easy, thats why I made a 3 heart restriction.
3 heart restrition! nice. Did u die at all? cuz if u didnt die and u finished the game with only three hearts thats a quite an acomplishment i gotta say!

Yeah i basically still play the 64 one and theres no major difference. Three heart quest is impressive though. With fairy's i would think its much easier.
I loved this game so much. It's easily the greatest Nintendo game of all time. I played it every time I came home from school along with Goldeneye. lol
I don't think that Golden Eye could compete with this game. It has unlimited replay value. I remember the first time i played it then said this was boring after beating it, and now at least once a year I get this massive craving to come back and pay it all over again. I recently just beat it in 2 days.
Goldeneye was a close second for best N64 game. But yeah, in the grand scheme of things, it's way off. This is one of the greatest games of all time, not just on the N64.
I've never taken on the 3 heart challenge. I can only imagine how difficult that must be especially later in the game where enemies do a lot of damage.
