The Zerg famous for there rushes, but how do you do yours?

Personal i go up to 5 workers build my spawning pool go to 7 workers then convert one into a assimilator right before the spawning pool is done this leaves me with just enough resources and supply to pump out three zerglings. If the rush is working then overlord and more lings if not tech and play late game strategy

Cons
- only 6 lings on the rush(if your player goes quick defensive they can easily kill)
- If someone counter rushes you it leaves you completely defenless and most likely dead

Pros
- Most people dont think to counter the rush
- Very quick for 6 lings (the other ones deployed in groupd of 2's and 4's)
- No backup because it takes a while to get another overlord and supply is full

I am by no means a master of the zerg rush(or Zerg in general) and im just looking for help/ideas. This is the best one I found after tests with the computer and works decent in B-net

I've never been much a Zerg player, but I would wait for a dozen zerglings before attacking. If you really want to commit to your rush, send in the union (drones).

by the time u get 12 zerglings the other side prob would of got a bunker or a decent enough force of zealots. generally its either 6 or nothing.

lol, personally whenever i play zerg with my brother on tcp/ip i always go defensive

if you know where the enemy is early on without sacrificing any advantages, i.e you dont need to use a drone to scout cause its a 1vs1 game or ur friend has scouted for you, then the zerg rush is devestating. even if u dont destroy ur enemy u will usually take out most of the mineral workers. this alone is enough to secure a win.

if u dont want to take risks with zerg, u shouldnt be playing zerg at all.

im no expert but i normally dont do rushes on odd number games. its too risky, cause you might get rushed while ur rushing someone. best get hydras in the early game if ur not rushing.
