yea it's all kinda according to a storyline,
DMC 3: Dante jus got a place for his demon slaying business and thus, we assume tht he still carrys a grudge against all demons who slayed his mother n believed his brother, vergil to be dead but is not.
DMC 1: Dante has grown a bit but stills wants to find answers why his mother was killed n a woman called Trish seems to have the answers.
DMC 2: Dante has matured, and typically demon army rises up, threatens the world and dantes saves it

lol I should really go out and play this game rather than ask questions here lol.....Man it will be hard to find a copy now.

nah it wont be, jus look in the pre owned section or look on ebay. A word of caution tho, DMC 1 n 3 are hardcore kick-you-in-the-nuts hard. N DMC 2 is jus easy like nothing compared to them. Hope you enjoy playing them

Well I played Devil May Cry not so long ago and I didn't think much of it at all. Some of it is pretty brutal when he lifts himself from the sword after it stabs him.

Accually Cloud, DMC 3(this has probobly been said already) is the prequal to 1 n 2. And yes it is hard, lol. I have the special edition, which is soo cool, lol. YOu get to play as Vergil in it.

Meh, you get to play as vergil, but only playing Dante's story. They couldhave done mroe with the game sinc it wasn't expected by players to come out
This whole story thing is confusing me.. All I know is since im not getting a ps3, i will be going over to a friends house to play this lol. I love DMC..xD
i have the first and third in the series. DMC was awesome. borrowed DMC2 and it wasnt as good. DMC3 blew my mind. it was soo good and the way u could sort of customize was cool. i still havent beat it yet. havent played in a year. tried today and still got my ass beat
