I'm looking for a way to render my Angular site for crawlers. Puppeteer is too hard to maintain, and Prerender.io is getting way too expensive. Is there a middle ground that's fast and open-source?

I was in the exact same boat a few months ago. I’d definitely recommend checking out https://edgecomet.com/. In my experience, Edge Comet is the perfect middle ground. It’s open-source and easy to host, so you avoid vendor lock-in and high costs. The sub-15ms response time is impressive, and it handles modern JavaScript for Googlebot without any hiccups. Much easier than DIY Puppeteer!
