Man, we can't take this battle to the court room <_< The system never fails when it wants to win.

We could boycott the RIAA, but it wouldn't work unless we knew that many people were going to do it beforehand, so everyone could start boycotting at the same time.
What do these record labels expect to gain by treating their customers like criminals anyway? Whatever happened to treating customers like they're always right?

What do you mean, Gage? Do you mean you're not going to download music? And why don't you care?

Anyway...

Yes! Someone is fighting back against the MPAA! (This is pretty much just as good as fighting back against the RIAA, since it's all because of the DMCA) I hope he wins!

It will have to be more than just us, though. We don't have enough people to really stop them.

http://www.digg.com/technology/MPAA_Gleefu..._of_Pirate_Bay_

The fucking MPAA took down The Pirate Bay! They are (were) based in Sweden... where it is not even illegal to run torrent trackers. So basically the MPAA encouraged the Swedish police to arrest two people and seize servers based on something that isn't even illegal in that country! Plus they sent 50 fucking officers as if it were a gang HQ raid or something!
Hopefully, TPB will return and have a big section on their site about how they managed to survive this bullshit. The raid should not have even happened.

http://www.digg.com/security/Sony_and_Warner_Music_Defaced

Wow, hackers defaced Warner and Sony websites. :haha:
Could it be because of TPB takedown? It's very possible.

The hackers shut down a Swedish police website too. :eyepop:

My favorite quote from the Digg discussion
<div class='quotetop'>(sagedude)</div><div class='quotemain'>FTA:
"Because it is a professionally put together site it does look legitimate, although it should be obvious from the price that it isn't."

Thats right, it's only legitimate if you are getting ripped off.</div>
