Yeah Zayne, downloading isn't going to go away. The stupid RIAA and other organizations like it need to realize that.

<div class='quotetop'></div><div class='quotemain'>smeh move to russia everything is piretade i think there cats a pireated:O</div>

XD :haha: pirated cats
Anyway, they're (the stupid RIAA and similar orgs.) threatening to deny Russia membership into the World Trade Organization because of the mass piracy there. I really hope Russia tells the WTO to go fuck themselves.

<div class='quotetop'></div><div class='quotemain'>besides with out the riaa theres no fun or challenge then its just plain old boring ass stuff</div>

Well, without the RIAA, we download whatever the hell we want without the slight chance of being sued.

<div class='quotetop'></div><div class='quotemain'>then virus come just like kazza.</div>

Well yeah... viruses end up being a risk on almost every filesharing network.

<div class='quotetop'></div><div class='quotemain'>sooooo its not entirely a bad thing. i mean i get a chuckle from the threats.</div>
Yeah me too, sometimes. Other times, it just pisses me off that the organizations are getting away with this stupid bullshit just because they have the money and power to do so.
Anyway, I think you'll enjoy these... http://thepiratebay.org/legal.php :haha:

Hey everyone, look at this crap.

Digg discussion
http://www.digg.com/tech_news/XM_responds_...dustry_concerns
"the satellite radio industry is the single largest contributor of sound recording performance royalties to artists and record labels."
How does that saying go...? "Never look a gift horse in the mouth"? I think the RIAA has a lot of fucking nerve to attack XM!
I don't agree with the idea of monthly payments for radio, but in this case I have to side with XM.

Yep, that's how it works. They get more money and that gives them more power. But the RIAA doesn't need and shouldn't have anymore power than they have. They actually need to lose some power because they have too much influence on foreign affairs... which means they need to lose money too.

Yeah, the RIAA takes their protection money so the artists don't get much. Yes, I think it's fair enough to call it protection money.

But... at least the RIAA hasn't pissed me off in a little over a week.... that's a record breaker! Maybe they're rapidly falling apart? Nah, that would be too good.

Hmmm.... I slightly overreacted.

http://www.digg.com/tech_news/The_RIAA_IP_...es_and_evidence
http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20060803-7416.html

An IP address can be used as evidence, but it's not enough on its own. This is still a good thing. I just hope everyone sued by the RIAA realizes this and doesn't wimp out and settle... They can't give in to the RIAA's intimidation! The RIAA is like a bunch of damn witch hunters!
-----
Hmm.... the RIAA had been quiet for a few weeks, but now they're back... being a bunch of dumbasses.

http://www.digg.com/tech_news/RIAA_Sues_LimeWire
http://www.betanews.com/article/RIAA_Sues_...racy/1154722015

Idiots! They're suing Limewire! They're suing one little company that created one little program for a large network! Stupid assholes!
Any competent and qualified judge would rule in favor of Limewire because the gnutella network is NOT only Limewire (though some judges would probably not care cause this is like a damn witch hunt, as I mentioned). If Limewire doesn't wimp out and settle... And if a good judge gets the case.... then Limewire SHOULD win.
