GP: The Staff

I'm actually on daily.. just have been giving up my time to make some $$ for GP. I will explain why I'm doing it later on. But I am on daily.. I just don't post, but browse through threads. I'm waiting till mid april is over.. then I have a few weeks till next semester starts.Ghost said:

Okay but Im getting your point, Im sure when things are going strong again in April the current staff team will discuss who would be the best for which position.

I agree.... the only thing I believe we need is another Admin because our admins are hardly on... I can understand why.... but we need atleast one admin who is extremely active...
*Coughs* Dont think I dont read and visit GP. I just went thorugh a Death..and school testing.. I'm not abandoning GP. Believe me I look and I check.

Problem is, most of those aren't even active; I know for a fact no one really plays the Inferno after level 15 because of the ****ty EXP you get from then.RikuReplica said:

Yeah, the only reason I haven't played is because with only 2 bots, it isn't that fun. Nothing to look forward to.
Yea, but nothing is gonna change unless we get new RPG Admins. Basically, there are three things GP needs. THey are listed below with most important first:
1. Those new members Nitz promised us.
2. New, more active Admins
3. RPG Admins.
There could alose be a 4th one if Tsukasa is promoted. I think he might make a very good Admin. And if anyone were to take his place, i'd say RPGirl or Ghost. If GP could just get those three things up there, we'll be back on top!

The problem with admin is.. we need SOMEONE who knows coding too. An admin SHOULD know how to code, install vB hacks and skins etc.. If they can't do that, then what's the point of having them as an admin? I hate to saw it, but look at the admins we've had in the past. They all had to leave because they didn't have any real admin skills.
And now with vbPlaza etc.. it's less need of an admin, just because name changines etc.. is all done through various vB hacks. If someone here can code HTML PHP and MYSQL, can install skins and know XHTML and knows about XML and plugins! SURE we can get that person to admin.. but if not.. then there isn't too much into it.

My final college exams are from April 2 to April 17th.. after that I have till May off... meaning all that time to work on GP.

BTW.. I haven't been just screwing around.. I've learned SO many new things about forums and ideas... which ALL will be posted when i fix up GP in mid april. I'm sure based off my ideas you'll love them and understand WHY I just haven't had time for the net.

You'd need to know PHP, JavaScript, ASP etc. Those are the languages normally used in dynamic web design. HTML can be dynamic too if you install FrontPage Extensions on the server, but otherwise it's usually not used for that sort of thing.
I should be able to be more active now that everything has kind of died down... i don't have anything else to do actually so i will be extremely active in the near future* AKA: Tommorow*

Everything that happens at GP pretty much falls on your shoulders when you are one, It's a big responsibility.

Yes. Lol Please if we get a new Admin, know coding. I myself have taken a few Web design classes, so i know a basic amount of all that stuff..

I don't think we need to worry about staff right now. Once I fix up GP, I'll look at the staff roster.... and we will see from there.
Yeah I basically agree with you, once things are going strong again we can discuss about new staff members and if a new admit gets selected he/she should know about coding for sure otherwise he/she would be pretty useless as an admin.
Its all up to the admins. And i get what you are saying about the whole coding thing. You can't just promote anybody, you need to get someone good.
